About Pal Erik

Pal Erik is the managing partner of McKinsey & Company’s offices in EEMA (Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa). He is also a member of McKinsey’s shareholder council and global operating committee.

Pal Erik is an expert on global trends, digitization, telecommunications, and high tech. His client portfolio includes private companies (both local market leaders and multinationals) in the telecommunications, financial markets, and oil and gas sectors, as well as governments and state-owned enterprises. The functional focus of his client work has been corporate strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformations.

Before stepping into the position of managing partner in EEMA, Pal Erik led McKinsey’s Norwegian office (from 2007 to 2010), was part of the leadership of the Scandinavian offices, and led the office complex in Eastern Europe (from 2010 to 2013). In addition, he has held leadership roles in the firm’s Telecommunications, High Tech, and Strategy practices.

Pal Erik, a passionate alpine and cross-country skier, enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife and three children.
