Mike leads our Consumer Operations Practice in North America. Since joining McKinsey in 2002, he has worked with clients across a variety of industries, focusing most on the consumer and transport sectors.
In recent years, Mike has concentrated primarily on advising top executives in the areas of strategy and operational improvement. He offers broad-based advisory support to global companies seeking to better their performance and manage complex operations to strengthen their financial results.
Mike has led many efforts to improve the bottom lines of companies, ranging from pricing and promotion optimization to broad-based supply-chain-productivity programs. Strategically, Mike has also led many due-diligence efforts as well as post-merger-management programs.
In addition to his consulting work, Mike serves on the advisory board of Team Red, White and Blue, a nonprofit organization that seeks to enrich the lives of veterans by connecting them to their communities. Before joining McKinsey, he was a captain in the US Army, serving in frontline positions over eight years and eventually becoming a battery commander directly responsible for 110 soldiers.
