About Mieke

Mieke is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Antwerp office, where she focuses on serving financial services institutions on a variety of topics, namely merger management.

In the past few years, Mieke has supported a number of financial services companies – in corporate as well as retail and private banking – on major transformations, digital & advanced analytics programs, and capability-building programs. She has worked with European banks in their business models renewal and has helped them build digital and advanced analytics capabilities.

Having deep expertise in M&A, Mieke also helps companies to catch the full benefit of their acquisition, supporting them on merger management, culture and change management, operating models and value capture. As such, she supports companies across multiple sectors and has been actively involved in a number of the largest deals in Europe.

Mieke is a co-leader of our work in merger management in Europe and leads our global merger management practice agenda.

She holds an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a master’s degree in applied economics from Ghent University.
