About Martin

Martin leads McKinsey’s office in Norway and is one of our leaders serving clients in the energy, technology, and private-equity sectors. Much of his work is focused on helping clients drive the two transformations that currently characterize the Norwegian economy: performance transformations to create step-changes in companies’ competitive positioning and digital transformations to help clients shape new delivery models and create new product and service offerings. With his emphasis on data and analysis, Martin also supports clients in strategy development and on corporate finance topics.

Some of his recent client work includes the following:

Oil & gas:

  • helping exploration and production companies develop robust portfolio strategies and identify strategic opportunities in a new industry context
  • helping operators improve performance across the value chain, including exploration, field development, production, and operations and logistics
Oilfield services:

  • driving significant performance transformation across oilfield-service-and-equipment segments
  • helping clients developing their digital strategies to improve efficiency and to develop new product and service offerings

Telecom:

  • helping operators drive end-to-end transformation of their strategy and operating model, through digitization, performance improvement, and new adjacent product and service offerings

Private equity:

  • conducting commercial due diligence, in particular, in energy and technology
  • supporting portfolio companies in defining and implementing their full-potential plans

Martin has been with the firm for eight years and has led the Oslo office since December 2015.
