About Levente

The managing partner of the Budapest office, Levente also leads the McKinsey Global Pricing Lab for corporate banking clients supported by one of our proprietary solutions, Periscope. He also leads a wider range of digital initiatives in Central Europe. Levente joined McKinsey in 2000 and took educational leave to complete a Masters in Finance at the London Business School in 2004.

He has served leading financial institutions in Europe on key strategic, operational and organizational topics. For example, he supported a major Western European bank in redefining its corporate strategy and undertaking a systematic organization redesign. For another European bank, he led a full review of its organization and processes. And for a universal bank in Eastern Europe, he designed and helped implement an organizational streamlining and adjustment effort.

Levente also brings significant experience in supporting financial services mergers. For a multinational insurance group, he led a team support a merger across three independent entities in Eastern Europe. And for an Austrian banking group, he developed a merger and restructuring plan—including assessing the organizational implications of the merger.

Outside of financial services, Levente has supported strategic, organizational and process-optimization efforts for clients in a variety of industries. For example, he helped restructure the maintenance and procurement processes of a large petroleum company; supported the turnaround and target setting for a large power plant; and helped reconfigure the strategy and organization of a domestic telecommunication company.
