Kaushik has focused much of his recent work in the energy, resources, and industrial sectors in Indonesia. He has worked extensively with mining and oil and gas companies as well as a variety of state-owned enterprises and governments across Southeast Asia on issues related to strategy, operations, and sales.
Since joining McKinsey in 2000, Kaushik has served national oil companies developing strategy for their domestic fuel-retail businesses as well as nonfuel strategies, and improving branding, sales, and marketing. He has led comprehensive transformation projects that included redesigning the strategic-planning process, introducing portfolio-management processes and tools, and designing the appropriate organization structure to support the new process. Additionally, Kaushik has served clients in many industries—including chemicals, logistics, and electronics—on a range of issues such as market-entry strategies, acquisitions, branding and marketing strategies, capability building, and corporate finance.
Kaushik holds a postgraduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management where he was awarded the Unilever Group’s Ponds India scholarship.
