About Jovita

Jovita, a part of McKinsey’s Recovery & Transformation Services Practice, has over 14 years of experience in professional services. Her key focus, historically, has been M&A engagements across the M&A life cycle, from strategy to due diligence, as well as longer-term hands-on support for integration, separation, and IPO readiness. She has followed market cycles in many industries—most recently, energy, financial services, and healthcare.

Jovita firmly believes that an M&A event in the life of an organisation provides a valuable opportunity to transform it. If that opportunity is missed, it’s not clear when the next burning platform will appear. Her passion is helping her clients find their true capabilities through hands-on coaching and working alongside them to solve problems together.

Jovita’s experience prior to McKinsey includes the following:

  • leading the vendor-side due-diligence and separation process for a global mining-services giant in its four largest countries: Australia, China, Vietnam, and Chile
  • designing a supermarket operations-turnaround plan spanning 765 stores and 100,000 in-store team members for a national retailer
  • acting as chief synergy adviser for a global mining company on a proposed takeover of global alumina assets
  • leading a strategic review and reset for a major engineering company across five business units

Jovita is passionate about bringing commercial rigour to the not-for-profit sector through sustainable social enterprises. She is currently on the board of Australian Home Care Services, a national provider of in-home care.
