Jonathan brings more than 15 years’ of experience in transformation programs from a variety of industries and regions. He has successfully led and managed a number of complex projects to implement new strategies, drive business change, build capabilities and streamline business practices.
While at McKinsey Implementation he has worked closely with clients in the banking, mining, transportation and energy sectors on the topics that are most important to them. Jonathan’s varied experience of managing change in different regions and sectors allows him to quickly connect tasks at the front-line to the numbers and strategies on the executive floors. This allows him to practically focus change programs on the areas that matter most and to then use creative ways of building the skills and organizational capabilities needed to deliver impact.
Examples of his work include:
- enterprise turnaround strategy development and set-up of the multi-year turnaround program at one of Africa’s largest companies
- major incident recovery, including detailing the recovery business case, working with insurer teams, and preparing the client for presentations to shareholders
- growth strategy and an operations breakthrough program for a large, vertically integrated transportation and exports company
- leading a capability building and rapid improvement program for the planned maintenance division of an energy company
Before joining McKinsey Implementation, Jonathan worked for a global advisory services firm and his early career was spent in banking technology and operations.
