About John

John leads our strategy work for the Zurich office. His areas of expertise include improving the performance of mobile and fixed-line operators, and designing and delivering strategy programs for retailers, financial services, and other clients.

John spent several years in Brussels serving financial institutions and telecom operators. After deepening his expertise in 3G mobile through work in Japan and the United States, he moved to Dubai and served clients in telecom and banking, helping them create expansion strategies and continuing to drive their transformation into high-performing companies. In Switzerland, John supports leading banks, retailers, and telecom clients with their strategy, organizational design, and sales and marketing challenges and opportunities. Examples of his most recent projects include:

  • designing a revenue-growth-management and route-to-market global transformation for a leading food and beverage company
  • delivering a multiyear commercial-transformation program for a retail and hospitality focused consortium
  • driving a retail format improvement program for a Swiss retail group
  • developing a comprehensive transformation program for a leading European telecom operator focusing on improving EBITDA and CAPEX optimization
  • driving cost optimization programs for various geographies of a large Middle East based telecom operator
  • testing an agile approach for fibre rollout for a European telecom operator
