About Jim

Jim is a partner in our Recovery & Transformation Services Practice. His vast experience is drawn from serving as a CEO and as a proven business-turnaround leader in a variety of organisations for more than 25 years. He has operated in multiple industries, becoming a global expert in telecommunications, professional services, IT services, and retail.

Jim’s restructuring experience includes the following:

  • serving as the CEO of a global fixed-line telecommunications operator, where he was responsible for transforming a loss-making, cash-negative business into listing on the FTSE 100, and shifting from a negative valuation to a £2 billion valuation
  • serving as the chief transformation officer of the B2B division of a US wireless and wireline telecom operator, developing a successful margin-improvement plan to focus on higher-value products
  • serving as the chief operating officer and head of people for a professional services business, leading a sales relaunch and sales-force redesign, enhancing the operating model design, and creating and implementing a strategic plan and investment strategy
  • serving as the chief transformation officer and chief operating officer of a global gaming and betting business, driving all aspects of the transformation, including margin enhancement in main-street retail and online businesses, creating a groupwide cost-reduction program, and setting up and running the board transformation subcommittee

In addition, Jim is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
