Jeff is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Dallas office who leads our purchasing and supply-management work. Since joining the firm in 1994, he has worked with clients in a variety of industries, particularly those in oil and gas, chemicals, basic materials, and the public sector. Jeff’s work has focused on operational and procurement transformations, with an emphasis on sustainability.
Examples of Jeff’s recent projects:
- a purchasing-improvement initiative at a large mining company that captured $150 million in savings within a 12-month period and built internal capabilities to ensure longer-term continuous improvement
- a long-term effort to develop supply-chain strategy at an oil and gas company, using the “strategy under uncertainty” approach to key spend areas to identify no-regret moves and critical risks in the supply chain
- a risk-management effort at a consumer-products company, focused on managing earnings in the face of significant increases in raw-material prices and availability
