Jean-Philippe is a leader within McKinsey’s Recovery and Transformation Services Practice in Canada. In this capacity, he helps distressed companies and underperforming business units drive rapid performance improvement, from acute crisis management to long-term recovery, by tackling all value-creation levers, including business strategy, sales and marketing, operations, procurement and supply management, working capital, capital productivity, and labour productivity. He has led a number of large-scale performance turnarounds for clients in the basic materials sector, most of which resulted in value-sharing partnerships.
Since joining the firm in 2005, Jean-Philippe has also served a variety of clients, mostly in the metals and mining and energy sectors, on issues of strategy, operations, procurement and supply management, capital and labour productivity, and value-creating partnerships. He has developed and implemented large-scale efficiency programs resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in annualized savings. Jean-Philippe has served clients on three continents and has worked in Europe, China, India, and Russia.
