Based in our Toronto office, Henk leads our digital insurance initiative in North America, bringing together McKinsey's global expertise and experience on digital insurance strategy and capabilities, digital marketing & sales, and end-to-end process digitization.
Henk also leads McKinsey's Financial Services Practice in Canada. Since joining the firm in 1998, he has served clients across Europe, North America, and South Africa. His client work focuses on large banks and insurers, partnering with top management to sharpen strategy, strengthen operations, and drive innovation and impact in (digital) marketing and sales.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Henk was an officer in the Royal Dutch Navy and worked for eight years in the consumer goods sector for Unilever. For his degree, Henk specialized in artificial intelligence supported control systems.
