About Florian

Florian is a core leader in our Chemicals Practice and led the practice globally and in the EMEA region for many years. Since joining McKinsey in 1990, he has supported companies on projects related to strategy, organization, mergers and acquisitions, and functional excellence. He has broad experience in the chemicals industry, having served clients in the petrochemicals, commodity and specialty chemicals sectors, including technical polymers, fibers, and inorganics. In addition to his work with chemical companies, Florian has advised clients in the oil and gas, utility, and pharmaceutical industries. Based in Frankfurt, he supports companies all over Europe and the Middle East, and has worked with clients in Asia, the US, and Brazil.

Among his extensive client work, Florian recently supported a European specialty chemicals company on a significant performance improvement program, a major acquisition, and a functional excellence program. He also recently helped a leading petrochemicals company in the Middle East develop a new organizational structure.
