Florian Bressand is a partner in McKinsey’s Paris office. He has previously worked at the firm’s San Francisco and Johannesburg offices.
Within the Retail Practice at the French office, Florian specializes in commercial transformation, particularly the key levers of category management: negotiations with suppliers, assortment selection, pricing, and promotions. He helps his clients use customer data and data-analysis tools (big data) to improve their decision making. He assists food and specialist retailers in these areas in France, Europe, and Africa.
In the field of tourism, Florian has supported the transformation of many leading companies in Europe, helping them deal with the problems that arise when large organizations combine faster growth with the switch to digital and cost cutting. He is also involved in McKinsey’s Digital Initiative.
Florian is experienced in skills organization and development, especially through the creation of category-management academies.
