Daniel joined McKinsey in 2005 in the Oslo office and later moved to Bucharest to help develop our Romanian office of which he is now Managing Partner. While his main focus is in telecommunications, Daniel has also served leading banks and insurance, energy, and consumer-goods companies on large-scale transformations, from design to full-impact delivery. With a deep passion for building the competitiveness and capabilities of Romanian companies, Daniel's recent work has focused on the following:
- improving the front line operations of a telecommunications operator
- developing a new commercial approach for an energy supplier
- supporting the post-merger integration for two insurance companies
- defining a sales and distribution alliance for a consumer-goods company
In addition to his work in Romania, Daniel has played a leading role in setting up a cross-border synergy program for a large multinational company across more than ten countries in Central and Eastern Europe, defining the international growth strategy for a large Russian bank, and reorganizing the Central Europe operations for a regional bank.
A native Romanian, he is fluent in English and Italian.
