Dana is the managing partner of McKinsey’s Israel office, which she joined in 2009 after 12 years based in our New York office. She also leads our work on transformational change across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Dana serves major institutions across a range of sectors, including aerospace, financial services, high tech, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications. In addition to supporting clients on large-scale operational and organizational transformation, she advises them on strategy development and M&A. She has a particular passion for developing leaders in clients, in McKinsey and across society—and she sees McKinsey’s Israel office as a school of leadership for the country.
Examples of Dana’s experience include supporting a global chemicals company in a journey of transformational change—including setting a new strategy, designing and helping implement an efficiency program, reshaping the organizational culture, and building new capabilities. For a major network-equipment manufacturer, she supported an integrated transformation program that included setting strategy and strengthening performance to achieve a competitive cost position and enhance the company’s product portfolio.
Dana has supported some of the largest mergers in Israel and globally. She applies her expertise in transformational change to help ensure successful organizational and cultural integration between the merging entities—and therefore unlocking enduring value from M&A.
She has also supported several transformational-change initiatives in the public sector. For example, she helped a large public-security agency improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its core processes and procurement. For another public institution, she helped design and implement a far-reaching operational-efficiency program that included optimizing capital spend on infrastructure, strengthening purchasing and supply management, sharpening R&D, and supporting capability building in key areas such as economic thinking and change management.
