About Conor

Based in London, Conor Kehoe co-founded McKinsey’s Investor and Private Equity Practice. He leads the firm’s global development in this sector and in board services, and he co-leads developments in corporate strategy.

He is a founding and ongoing member of the executive committee and partner/senior partner election committee for our solutions group, an internal venture-capital entity that develops business-intelligence solutions, typically based on software, analytics, and proprietary data. Conor also leads the McKinsey New Ventures advisory council.

He is a member of McKinsey’s global risk committee and, originally a software engineer, has also led the Tech and Telecom Practice in Europe.

Conor has taught strategy for non-executives at the Temasek-backed Singapore Stewardship and Corporate Governance Centre and contributed to a recent revision of the UK Board Code. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

He serves technology, private-equity, and institutional-investor clients.

Previously, Conor was a member of the executive committee of Granada Group, an FT100 UK media and leisure company. He was also chairman of one of its four divisions which grew from $20m to $250m in revenue under his leadership.

With others, he founded a charity—based in Kampala, Uganda—that provides IT to schools in the least-developed countries.

Conor holds a first-class honors degree in electronic engineering from Trinity College Dublin, where he was a Foundation Scholar. He also holds an MBA (with distinction) from INSEAD.
