Chris is an expert partner based in the London office. He has close to 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, working across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His professional work focuses on business and operating model transformation, strategy definition, and mergers and acquisitions. Chris’s recent work includes:

Business and operating model transformation:

  • leading a program to define the commercial strategy and marketing and sales model for a global fine chemical producer facing bottom-of-cycle conditions
  • leading a transformation of the field development organization for a coal-bed methane producer in Asia, targeting significant improvements in cost and delivery time
  • leading a program targeting significant energy cost reduction across upstream, midstream, and downstream organizations for a Chinese national oil company (NOC)

Strategy definition:

  • developing a growth strategy and operating model for the domestic and overseas assets of a Chinese NOC
  • managing the corporate strategy process for a Southeast Asian NOC
  • developing the feedstock strategy for a global fine chemical producer, through analyzing industry shifts in downstream industries and war-gaming exercises

Mergers and acquisitions:

  • leading a post-acquisition integration and business model transformation for a Southeast Asian chemical producer
  • supporting due diligence and deal closing for a global acquisition by a Middle Eastern chemical producer
  • managing commercial due diligence for a range of acquisitions by private equity firms in Asia and Europe

Prior to joining McKinsey, Chris was a Partner at A.T. Kearney and Vice President at Booz & Company (now Strategy&).
