About Anders

Anders is a partner in McKinsey’s Oil & Gas Practice in Oslo, where he works with oil and gas operators and suppliers on energy-, private-equity, and public sector-related projects. In this role, he leads the practice’s work in advanced analytics, digital transformation, and services in the drilling and well space. Most of his client work focuses on driving deep, transformational change through the use of new digital offerings, as well as more traditional approaches.

Examples of his recent work include the following:

  • developing the digital strategy, road map, and concrete use cases for a large oil and gas operator
  • helping oil and gas operators to improve their performance across the value chain, including exploration, drilling, field development, production, operations, and logistics
  • transforming performance across all areas of oilfield services and equipment, with a particular focus on subsea and engineering
  • advising global energy clients on digital strategies to improve their efficiency and to develop new product and service offerings
  • helping a public-sector client to establish new operating models and strategies for infrastructure, resulting in a substantial improvement in cost and productivity
  • supporting a private-equity client on commercial due diligence in oil and gas
  • helping portfolio companies to define and implement plans to reach their full potential

Alongside his client work, Anders currently oversees professional-development initiatives for colleagues in the Oslo office.
