About Alexander

Alexander joined McKinsey in 2006. He provides consulting support to oil & gas and metallurgical companies on a wide range of issues, including strategic planning, organizational and operational transformation, and investment governance.

He heads up McKinsey’s work in the oil refining sector in the ЕМЕА region, and is a leading expert in organizational and operational transformations, strategic planning and investment governance.

Examples of recent projects:

  • development of a program targeting operational transformations, improved equipment reliability, and higher efficiency of shutdown repairs and maintenance for a leading Russian oil refinery;
  • development of an operational transformation program for a large Russian oil & gas company and creation of an organizational model to promote continuous implementation of improvements; 
  • implementation of a pilot project to improve equipment reliability, development of an improvement program in the oil refining segment for a major internal oil company;
  • creation of an oil refining strategy and optimization of refinery upgrade programs for a leading oil company in Russia; 
  • creation of a portfolio strategy for a European industrial group operating in over 10 different sectors.

Before joining McKinsey, Alexander worked at Deloitte.
