Choosing McKinsey

The people at McKinsey are the reason I joined. I interviewed with a few companies in different industries before choosing McKinsey. My decision really came down to meeting some amazing people in my interviews and through events hosted by the firm. Since then, the most rewarding part of my career at McKinsey has been working with some truly exceptional people.

The best things about working at McKinsey Norway

You are given a great deal of responsibility, and you are always encouraged to go beyond what you think you can do, while simultaneously having someone there to support you. This creates a great learning environment and brings out the best in you and the people around you.

What I love about McKinsey is the opportunity to work on really big problems. We work on topics that are important to our clients and help shape their future agendas. You can also shape your own agenda and work on the topics that you are passionate about, whether that is a specific sector or area of functional expertise.

Amazing opportunities

McKinsey offers a great deal of flexibility. I had lived abroad for a period before joining McKinsey, and I wanted a role that would give me the opportunity to work internationally. In my years here, I have served clients around Europe, as well as in Africa, Asia, and Australia. Many of my colleagues have also chosen to serve clients internationally for varying lengths of time.
