Leader of our global work in energy, basic materials, education, operations, and public institutions

Eduardo is a leader of our global work in energy, basic materials, education, and operations. In his 22 years with McKinsey, he has served some of the largest private and public-sector organizations—in these sectors as well as in retail and private equity—in Mexico and across the world.

Eduardo’s client service spans a wide range of functional areas, including strategic planning, operational performance improvement, investment evaluation and optimization, capital allocation, asset restructuring, and organizational design and governance.

In his work with energy clients, Eduardo has led projects in many regions, including North and South America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. He spent 3 years in Russia, supporting the implementation of large-scale energy projects in the country. Drawing on this experience, he helps clients embrace globalization to build dynamic organizations and unlock growth—bringing the best of Mexico to the world, and the best of the world to Mexico.

Eduardo is passionate about developing leaders from a diverse range of backgrounds and puts particular energy into advancing women’s leadership—a topic of personal resonance for him as the father of two daughters. He is actively involved in recruiting, mentoring, and developing exceptional women, and he helps ensure that McKinsey is at the forefront of efforts to strengthen women’s representation in business and the professions in Mexico.

Outside of McKinsey, Eduardo serves on the boards of several non-profits, including one which focuses on education, health, and local and economic development in the Yucatan, where his family comes from.
