PROFESSIONAL DIVERSITY
PROFESSIONAL DIVERSITY - BASIS FOR INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT
As a consultant at McKinsey, you will be working for a range of clients that differ in company size, type, culture, and tradition. Often, they will be leading multinationals. Occasionally, you may work for a nonprofit organization, dealing with an entirely different environment.

Because our projects usually last from 6 weeks to 6 months, you will have the chance to work in many different industries on different types of projects. While you will begin your career in a particular industry, randomly, or by choice, you will soon move on to a different industry, and most probably, a different problem as well. Your "apprenticeship" at McKinsey means you will learn about the most important management and industry issues more quickly than you could anywhere else.

Ultimately, you will join one of our functional or industry practices where you'll dive deep to learn about the issues that you care most about.

Consulting at McKinsey today is global and we strive to provide clients with our best resources worldwide. Therefore, our teams are often composed of consultants from different countries, and our consultants in Zurich or Geneva often work abroad.
