Since the Manila office opened in 1999, the Firm has helped the Philippine economy on three fronts. In the private sector we have helped leading companies deal with the Asian crisis and make strides towards regional competitiveness - working extensively in some of the economy's most important sectors. We have worked with the government and key industry players on a range of fundamental reforms in important industries like tourism (helping boost arrivals by 10%), electricity (including inputs into the Electric Power Industry Reform Act), telecommunications (particularly in business process outsourcing and call centers), and regional economic integration (through our work for ASEAN). The Manila office also makes significant contributions to our community through its work with leading not-for-profit organizations. Making a real difference at the national level - business, policy, or community - is our passion in the Manila office.
