Business analysts
Business analysts hold a master's degree and are recent graduates or have an additional one to three years of work experience. They work on a client project and help solve a specific management problem.
A business analyst is dedicated full-time to a project team, solves practical problems, and works closely with the client at the client's site; therefore, he or she will soon be able to become acquainted with all aspects of management and leadership. After two years as a business analyst you are expected to earn a M.B.A. degree, sponsored by McKinsey, should you be interested in pursuing a career as a consultant.
Connect with leaders
When you join McKinsey, you'll find plenty of different ways to create your personal network. At the Basic Consulting Readiness and Business Analyst Training programs, for example, you'll meet new colleagues from around the world. And as a full-fledged member of a client service team, you'll work with business leaders and experts inside and outside the firm.
Challenge yourself to grow
You'll be stretched here, and the experience will help you become an accomplished business professional at an accelerated pace. We will help you build your leadership, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. And you'll receive up to five weeks of formal training during your first two years.
Choose to explore
In your first two years or more, you'll work across a broad range of industries and functions. You'll build business knowledge and perhaps find a field that you want to pursue more deeply. You will likely have the opportunity to travel to different countries and work with people from different cultures.
