Marketing and Sales Practice
McKinsey Marketing & Sales consultants aim at building substantial, profitable growth through superior marketing. The Marketing & Sales Practice looks for (junior) associates who are outstanding individuals with strategic, analytical minds and five to eight years of experience in marketing or sales management, research, or consultancy. Candidates should have a broad understanding of current marketing trends, their impact on business strategies, and their implications for senior management in creating and sustaining competitive advantage. Candidates should be comfortable with quantitative analysis and take a creative, yet pragmatic, approach to problem solving.

Work on strategic issues with top-line impact
We focus on the most relevant marketing issues—issues that reflect the real-world concerns of business leaders, such as:
  • Marketing strategy
  • Pricing
  • Sales and channel management
  • Branding and marketing return on investment (ROI)
  • Customer life cycle management (CLM)
  • Customer insights
  • Marketing organization and capability building
We work across industries in business-to-customers (financial services, telecoms, etc.), business-to-business-to-customers (pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, etc.), and business-to-business (oil, energy, etc.).

Leverage customer insights and engage top executives
