For example, as a consultant working on an operations study, your experience might include: improving the efficiency of patient care delivery in a hospital using lean-manufacturing principles; building a Web-based purchasing organizational model; aligning a product development team to deliver new and exciting products.
In fact, as the rate of change in the business world increases, we find that it is increasingly valuable to have a broad range of skills when tackling our clients' multi-faceted problems. A strategy study, for example, may have certain operational and growth elements that are part of an integrated approach to the problem. While we expect you to develop deep knowledge in several areas eventually, we encourage you to try new things, push yourself, and take risks.
