Cleveland has strong cultural, educational, and social institutions established over the city's long history of industrial wealth and philanthropy. The Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and Case Western Reserve University draw many to University Circle, 10 minutes east of downtown. Theaters and restaurants – many offering the cuisine of the city's diverse ethnic groups – dot the area.
The area's quality of life and a natural setting with ample advantages – Lake Erie, an expansive Metroparks network, and plentiful, moderately priced land – have made it possible to choose from a variety of comfortable and affordable living styles. Many of us live in stately old homes in well-established suburbs, others in attractive new developments. Lakeside condos with beautiful views and country homes with lots of land can be found within an easy drive.
The rejuvenation of the downtown area in the past several years has made possible loft living in renovated warehouses that are just blocks from the office, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and two of the city's hottest spots for night life, the Flats and the Warehouse District.
