Application Deadlines
We accept applications for consulting positions all year round. If you are currently studying for either an undergraduate or graduate degree in the United States or United Kingdom, please visit the relevant McKinsey school Web site (where applicable) for application deadlines, or alternatively contact us with any queries.

Criteria
Your cover letter should provide us with a clear first impression of who you are, in terms of both your background and what makes you distinctive. In addition, it should explain your motivation for applying for a job in consulting and state where you see the fit between yourself and what we look for.

Your CV should include your detailed academic record from high school onward (e.g., schools attended, dates of attendance, grades, and results of standardised exams). Please note we will be unable to review your application without the required information.

In addition to academic achievements, we place emphasis on extracurricular activities in which you have played an active role from high school onward. These could include voluntary work, sporting achievements, musical accomplishments, and entrepreneurial endeavours.

Please also detail all work experience, including internships, remembering to include dates of employment, role description, and tangible achievements.

Time Line
On submission of your application, you should expect to receive an acknowledgment e-mail within 48 hours.

From the time you submit your application you should receive a decision within three weeks.

Please note: If yours is a "milkround" (on-campus recruiting) application you should not expect to receive a decision prior to the application deadline published on the relevant McKinsey school Web site. If you receive an offer elsewhere and need to expedite the process, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to complete the recruiting process within your limited time frame.
