New Jersey

The New Jersey office is one of the few McKinsey locations not situated in a major urban center, but with easy access to two. In many ways, our people have the best of all possible worlds. Consultants can choose to live in nearby suburban communities (featuring some of the top public high schools in the country), in Manhattan (where over half of our consultants currently live), or even in Philadelphia.

Even those who live in suburbia enjoy proximity to Manhattan for theater, opera, ballet, and museums. Located 45 minutes west of Manhattan, the New Jersey location is a young, rapidly growing, dynamic office with more than 350 consultants and practice experts.

We pride ourselves on our diversity, with over 40 nationalities represented and 6 women partners (20 percent of the New Jersey office leadership). We have frequent social gatherings and Friday lunches for our consultants. In the past, we’ve traveled to Jamaica for an office retreat, but more recently we’ve gone with our sister offices (Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.) in the Mid-Atlantic complex to Phoenix, Arizona, and Banff, Canada.
