Morning: Preparation for the showdown I get an early
start this Friday morning, which also happens to be my birthday – and the second
progress review for my client, a pharmaceutical company. We have been working
with them for 3 months.
On
the way to the office, I have a call with the Asia-Pacific expert who's flying
down for the review. He's at the New Delhi airport, on his way from Singapore.
I get to the office, sip coffee, and attend a team meeting to go through
the client presentation. I have to step out for a half-hour call with a
team in the Korean office; they need to understand the Indian electronics
market.
After the team briefing, I make sure that the print-outs and posters for the
presentation are done. We proceed to the client site, a 45-minute drive from the
office.
Afternoon: A good review We present the findings and analyses
from the data collection exercise and interviews conducted over the last 3 weeks
with the client team. It's a great progress review. Our engagement director
gives the team the rest of the day off.
Evening: Celebration I spend 30 minutes determining the logistics for a campus
recruitment event next week. Meanwhile, my team has a surprise in store for me.
A celebration for my 25th birthday. It turned out to be an evening I will
probably not forget for several years.
