Case Study - Improving the Supply Chain of an Electronics Manufacturer

Improving the Supply Chain of an Electronics Manufacturer

Client Problem
A major consumer electronics manufacturer in China was suffering from liquidity and profit problems as a result of high supply costs.

Implementing a Transformation
Our initial evaluation identified opportunities for the company to improve its inventory planning, supply chain reliability, and overall efficiency. We suggested that the client build its own sustainable, high-performance supply chain to reduce reliance on outside suppliers. Our supply chain experts helped the client team lead the turnaround effort and led problem-solving exercises for executives and staff members.

Assessing the Impact
Within four months of implementing a faster and more reliable supply chain, the company increased its revenue by more than U.S. $100 million and reduced its supply chain lead time by 13 percent.
