Case Study - Helping an Insurance Company Grow into New Markets

Listing a Major Chinese Financial Institution Client Problem
A large insurance company in China faced increased competition from foreign joint-venture entrants but saw many opportunities in the deregulated financial services industry. It needed to upgrade its sales force, expand into new sectors, and grow its capital base to capture these opportunities.

What We Did
Through a series of projects, we helped the company revitalize its large agency workforce, build a consolidated back-office operating center, acquire and integrate another financial institution, and break into the asset-management industry.

Client Impact
The company continues to improve its market share in its core life insurance business while successfully branching out into the banking and asset-management sectors. The company has listed on local and foreign stock exchanges and has firmly rooted itself as one of the pioneers in the financial services industry in China.
