You may want to broaden your horizons and explore a variety of industries. Or you may want to immerse yourself more deeply in a favorite industry. You might have a deep interest in energy. Or health care. Or telecommunications. At McKinsey you can develop yourself as  generalist or choose to go deep in any of the 18 industries we serve. You can also specialize in one of our six functional practices: corporate finance, strategy, operations, business technology, organization, and marketing and sales.
