George Tsopelas is a director of McKinsey and the office manager of the
Athens office.
George joined McKinsey in London in 1994 and was elected director in 2008. He
has been serving Greek companies since 1997 and permanently moved to Athens in
January 2000.
George has extensive experience in the financial institutions sector in the
areas of strategy, sales and marketing, operations, and organisation in Europe
and in North Africa as well as significant experience in the industrial and
energy sector; he is also a member of the European Electric Power and Natural
Gas core leadership group.
George holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. His undergraduate
studies include economics and econometrics at the Athens University of Economics
and business administration (double major) at the American College of Greece,
Deree College.
