Engagement Diversity - How We Work

McKinsey's Tel Aviv office has been innovative in serving the business leaders in our community. Our clients include leading organizations in traditional industries, global technology players, private equity and venture capital firms, growing start-ups, and government-owned companies.

We deliver sustainable, bottom-line impact to our clients, and we complement our strategy expertise with the ability to improve organizational structure, streamline operations, and strengthen functional performance.

Below is an overview of some of our diverse capabilities; to the left you can find links to all of our practices.

Capabilities
STRATEGY STRATEGY
Engagements focus on creating a company's vision and setting its direction. A strategy study can be conducted at either the corporate or business unit level by revising the product/market portfolio as well as setting functional strategies. McKinsey also provides advice on strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions.
OPERATIONS OPERATIONS
The main focus is on cost reduction via improving processes in production or in a particular function, often via cross-functional optimization. The main areas covered include production, logistics and distribution, sales and marketing. We also help clients who require radical improvements in their profitability over a very short period of time.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Organizational issues are important in order for clients to achieve the success envisioned in a strategy. McKinsey can help to design suitable and efficient organizations at either the corporate center or business unit level, or even for a particular function. We also help clients design management systems, change management processes, and build their core skills.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Top managers are becoming increasingly interested in the proper working of specific functions. Efficient information technology is a key prerequisite for the successful operation of a company. McKinsey has established a Business Technology Office to tackle these sorts of engagements.
NONPROFIT NONPROFIT
While the bulk of our work is in the private sector, we also advise public sector clients, ranging from government agencies to nonprofit institutions. As a part of our commitment to the development of countries where we are active, McKinsey also helps philanthropic, civic and cultural organizations, often on a charitable, pro bono basis.
Other functions we focus on include marketing/sales, finance, maintenance, pricing, purchasing and supply management, R&D, and service operations.
