McKinsey offers opportunities to experienced professionals, MBA graduates and advanced professional degree holders. You can start as a generalist, working across a broad range of industries and functions to develop knowledge and build skills. Or you can build specific expertise within a practice.

Experienced professional
We look for exceptional people established in a wide variety of fields and professions, such as finance, engineering, law, the military, and from industry. M.B.A.
Consultants with M.B.A.s typically join McKinsey as Associates in one client study at a time. You will accelerate you career by working alongside exceptional people on critical issues, you will have the independence to determine your own career path, and you will have access to an influential network of leaders.

Other advanced degree
You do not need a business degree to thrive here. If you have an advanced professional degree, such as Ph.D., you might be intrigued by the rewards a career at McKinsey offers.
