About Hugo
Hugo leads McKinsey’s Business Technology Practice on the West Coast, where he works with technology providers (software, digital media, hardware, service providers, telcos), users of technology (CIO, CTO, GMs), and technology private-equity investors on a broad range of strategic technology issues.
He is also global leader of the McKinsey System Solution Center, a professional service organization within McKinsey that uses agile software development methodologies to deliver cloud, big data, and mobile solutions to McKinsey clients.
His client focus includes helping companies adapt business models and launch new businesses to capture the benefits of disruptive technologies such as mobile, cloud, big data and social, and M2M. He has worked extensively with business leaders to enable their front office operations through CRM, multichannel, social technologies, collaboration, and analytics to drive increased growth. He has also supported the large-scale transformation of IT and service factories by implementing lean techniques to deliver superior customer satisfaction at reduced cost.
Hugo is a frequent author and thought leader and regularly speaks at industry forums on a variety of technology disruptions and their impact on business strategies and operations.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Hugo was a software engineer in the aerospace and robotics industries.
Hugo’s not-for-profit work includes support of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, International Institute of Telecom, and the US Water Polo Association.
