About Marco
Marco is a Principal in McKinsey’s Zurich office. With a track record of scientific achievements in chemistry, he has led over 400 engagements in chemical-related sectors. He works with companies throughout Europe and Asia to identify and execute growth strategies, improve operational performance, and develop effective organizational structures, processes, and capabilities.
He recently spent two years in our Tokyo office, where he assessed investment opportunities in petrochemicals in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, helped develop a growth strategy in new materials for a Japanese chemical company, and identified opportunities in chemicals for a European company seeking to expand in Japan, Korea, and China. Marco is also passionate about biotechnology and energy related questions.
A frequent speaker at industry and academic events, Marco has lectured on a range of environmental science issues including biofuels, bioplastics, green logistics, and CO2 abatement. He has won numerous scientific awards and speaks German, French, English, Italian, Romansh, Russian, and Japanese.
