About Jan
Jan is a principal in our Geneva office, where he focuses on strategy, organization, and marketing and sales in the commodity trading, chemicals and agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries. He has served leading companies in Europe and the US.
Jan supports leading commodity trading companies by adapting their strategies to important changes in the global trading environment. This includes topics such as building strong asset footprints, retooling for a high-cost environment, and optimizing capital deployment.
Jan has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, organization design, and efficiency improvement programs. In a recent project for a multinational pharma company, he helped to design the global operating model and efficiency program, including large-scale downsizing of headquarter units and efficiency improvements in 60+ country organizations.
Another recent project involved helping a multinational company accelerate the growth of a global blockbuster drug in the five leading European markets—France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK—and the US. He has also supported leading global pharmaceutical companies with designing growth strategies for their ethical and over-the-counter portfolios in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, and with launching new drugs across western and central European markets.
