About Amine

Amine is a director in our Geneva office and co-leads McKinsey’s Public Sector and Social Sector Practices for Africa and the Middle East. He also leads our global energy and materials hub in Switzerland.

Much of Amine’s work focuses on socio-economic development. He has advised on 18 public sector strategies in the Maghreb covering all key areas of government, supported four African countries with agricultural reform, and helped a West African country define a development strategy covering all economic and social sectors.

Amine also has deep expertise in global energy and materials. He has assisted a leading national mining company in North Africa with a strategy and turnaround plan, supported a West African country in reforming its energy sector, and worked with a national oil company in the Middle East to create an accelerated development program.

Since 2000, Amine has led McKinsey’s efforts to establish our work in the Maghreb and francophone West Africa and develop our office in Casablanca. In that capacity he has served most of the leading private and public institutions in the region in major sectors including government, natural resources, and infrastructure.

Amine has bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.
