As a business analyst, you’ll work on client projects as part of a team and take responsibility for your own part of the problem solving. You’ll play a key role in gathering data and contributing to the team’s recommendations, and you will work directly with senior client executives. You will also have a voice in determining the team's style and pace of work.

No two weeks will be the same: from gathering and analyzing data, to interviewing stakeholders or presenting your findings to clients, the range of industries and business issues to which you’ll be exposed will mean that you’re constantly acquiring new skills and experience. And your ideas and opinions will be encouraged and valued from day one.

In the business analyst program, you’ll spend about 2 years developing broad business skills; then you will have different options: take educational leave to obtain your MBA (financially supported by McKinsey), gain further work experience for 1 year in your favorite industry or in a non-profit organization, or move directly into an associate role.

As an associate in McKinsey Spain, you’ll lead a key portion of a client project. You’ll have direct contact with senior clients and work with a high degree of independence. Your tasks might include identifying issues, forming hypotheses, planning and conducting interviews and analyses, developing conclusions into recommendations, and helping implement change.

We’ll provide extensive training to help you build core consulting skills. You will also receive ongoing feedback and mentorship from collaborative teammates to help you reach your full potential.

As a successful associate, you’ll quickly assume broader responsibilities. After 2 or 3 years, you may move into the role of engagement manager. Engagement managers lead client projects, manage teams, coach less experienced colleagues, and take responsibility for initiatives within McKinsey.

The internship program is designed for students who are interested in gaining first-hand experience in management consulting, and in learning about a career at McKinsey Spain.

As an intern or a summer associate, you’ll experience the day-to-day life of a McKinsey consultant. You’ll be an active member of a consulting team and experience some of the challenges that a client project presents. You’ll gather and analyze information, meet client teams, prepare proposals and communications, and present findings to senior client executives.

Our strength-based feedback culture, together with the training you will receive during your internship, will help you to reach your full potential. While you work, experienced consultants will provide guidance and coaching and give you a sense of McKinsey’s people, values, and spirit.

At the end of your internship, you’ll be able to judge whether a career with McKinsey appeals to you, and McKinsey will decide whether to extend you an offer for a permanent position as a full-time consultant.

We offer two different programs, one geared to students pursuing their bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and the other designed for MBA students. Both programs take place during the summer months and last for 8- to 10 weeks. We welcome applications from students in the summer before the graduating year of their degree.
