About Vitaly

Vitaly Klintsov joined McKinsey in 1997.

Since joining McKinsey in 1997, Vitaly has worked on client projects in Moscow, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, London, and New York. His experience covers a wide range of industries, including electric power, oil and gas, metals and mining, telecommunications, and financial services, as well as serving public sector clients on economic development and education issues. Vitaly has helped clients develop transformation programs and build up their corporate cultures and capabilities. In the Moscow office, he leads McKinsey’s relationships with government entities.

In addition to his work on major transformation programs, Vitaly has supported clients in developing competitive strategies, establishing new business units, and designing best-practice organizational solutions. He has also helped prepare the implementation of capability- and competence-building programs. Other project work led by Vitaly is in the areas of operational efficiency improvement and increasing the quality of capital project portfolios.

Vitaly Klintsov co-authored the McKinsey report “Lean Russia: Sustaining economic growth through improved productivity” and our study of energy efficiency and the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Russia.

Vitaly is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bolshoi Theater. Before joining McKinsey, he worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in its Russian office and in its Asset Management department in New York.
