About Sergey

Sergey joined McKinsey’s Moscow office in 2004. Since then, he has served clients extensively across a variety of industries on topics such as strategy development, operational improvement programs, and capital performance improvement.

His recent projects include developing operational improvement programs and continuous improvement systems for multiple clients, including a refinery and an iron mining company; optimizing several large-scale investment projects and developing an investment management system for a refinery and a petrochemical plant; helping Russian Federation ministry to improve industry strategy; helping an oil company to develop strategy; helping a major industrial holding achieve excellence in HR; and helping a major oil and gas producer improve its organizational capabilities in the area of reserves replacement.

Sergey is affiliated with Global Energy and Materials practice (focusing on operational excellence and capital performance).

Before joining McKinsey, Sergey worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services as a research scientist, specializing in the development of numerical methods in the area of borehole acoustics, and later as a research project manager .
