Joined McKinsey in 1995. Leader of the Russian Financial Institutions Practice and one of the core members of the European Financial Institutions Practice.
Has worked in McKinsey offices in Russia, North America, Western and Central Europe. Has close business contacts with a number of major Russian and international players, established in the course of long term cooperation.
Has directed projects across a broad range of strategic, organizational, and operational issues, such as market entry, facilitating companies’ growth and development in Russia, among them investment portfolio strategy, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, alliances, new business build-up, organizational transformation, performance improvement, risk assessment, and operational platform development and optimization. Has vast experience in the area of improving payment-related services by the leading banks and infrastructure development in the Russian market.
Recent engagements in Russia include: developing the strategy and implementation plan for the launch of the leading consumer finance company; developing the strategy and leading the launch of a new full service retail bank (establishment of telephone and internet banking service center, setting up credit card operations); designing and leading a performance transformation program for a leading retail bank in Russia (implementation of new product launch, sales performance improvement, operational redesign, and implementation of new underwriting and collection processes); development and implementation of a comprehensive program to improve productivity across the branch network of a leading Russian bank.
Heads the Russian Financial Institutions Practice and is one of the core members of the European Financial Institutions Practice.
Co-authored the McKinsey report Lean Russia: Sustaining economic growth through improved productivity. Has been a guest speaker at various conferences, as well as made presentations at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and the Higher School of Economics regarding business development and financial sector development in Russia.
Prior to joining McKinsey, worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Chase Securities International (USA).
