About Chinmay
Based in Amsterdam, Chinmay leads McKinsey’s work on commercial topics with pharmaceutical and medical products companies in Europe. He is passionate about bringing innovative technologies to market to improve health and lives, particularly in emerging economies like India, where he was born and raised.
Chinmay brings particular expertise in brand strategy, sales-force sizing and structure, product launches, organization, and commercial transformation. For example, he has helped a global pharmaceutical company launch a new product in 25 countries and has worked with a leading medical-products company to ramp up growth in emerging markets in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Chinmay also supports several nonprofit organizations to increase access to medical products by the poorest of the poor in the emerging world.
Chinmay joined McKinsey in the United States and later transferred to Amsterdam. Although many of his clients and project teams are global, he draws support and motivation from the connectedness, diversity, and openness of McKinsey’s Amsterdam office. In his spare time, he volunteers with a cooperative dedicated to bringing sustainable local produce into Amsterdam.
