About Conor
Conor Jones is a principal in McKinsey’s Dublin office, where he is the location manager. His work focuses mainly on strategy, transformation and marketing and sales projects for clients in the telecoms, media and high-tech industries. He also leads our work on customer experience across Europe.
Among his recent projects, Conor led a team supporting strategy development and commercial implementation for a joint venture that will create one of Europe’s biggest telecom operators. He has also led customer experience transformation programmes for wireless and fixed-line players across the UK, Russia, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. For one of the UK’s leading mobile operators, he advised about initiatives to improve day-to-day revenue generation, with particular support for customer retention efforts.
In the media sector, Conor helped a leading UK media company with the design and implementation of a digital business and supported a European public service broadcaster in developing a performance management system.
Before joining McKinsey, Conor designed and developed microchips for mobile applications, working with global clients in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He holds a degree in electronic engineering from University College Dublin and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
