About Jerome
Jérôme Teissier is a principal in McKinsey’s Lyon office, which he has managed since its opening in 2008. He is a member of the Energy practice in Europe and one of the global leaders of the Transformation Change Subpractice.
Within McKinsey’s industry sector in France, Jérôme Teissier advises leading European groups in the energy (oil, gas, electricity, energy services), industry (raw materials, manufacturing, assembly), and transport and logistics sectors on issues related to strategy, organization, and supervision of large-scale transformations. His client engagements involve, for example, identifying the strategic and organizational implications of regulatory changes, elaborating a marketing plan for key international accounts, ranking development priorities in foreign markets, or thoroughly reviewing and redefining support processes (human resources, general services, IT, purchasing, R&D).
Jérôme is also a co-founder of the INEXO center for operational excellence, which was created by McKinsey’s Operations Practice in Lyon in partnership with several of the region’s main engineering schools.
Before joining McKinsey in 1998, Jérôme worked for 7 years at Total Exploration Production, first at the Paris headquarters, as an engineer and economist, then in Latin America in commercial activities, operations development, and large project management.
Jérôme Teissier is an engineer and a graduate of the École des Mines de Paris, and holds degrees from the Collège des Ingénieurs and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris.
