About Hiro
Hiro is a leader of the Asia Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Practice where he supports strategy, marketing, and organizational initiatives including enterprise transformations, organizational redesign, and leadership development.
Recent functional-capability-development projects Hiro led include a category-management initiative for a processed-food company and a customer-relationship-management improvement effort for a multiformat retailer.
Corporate transformations in large-scale conglomerates and family-owned companies are also a clear area of expertise for Hiro. His recent contributions include leading a team to improve group-wide performance through various initiatives in a multibusiness conglomerate. He also guided a corporate-wide effort to transform both top-management leadership development and frontline capability building at a packaged-good company. He has counseled a variety of CEOs and owners of family-owned businesses in the areas of enterprise strategy, next-generation leadership development, and succession planning.
Hiro is an active contributor to McKinsey's research on the consumer market and consumer behaviors in Japan.
